GREENSBORO, NC (July 14, 2025) – A devastating tragedy unfolded in Greensboro on Monday afternoon as police arrested and charged Jut Kopa, 27, with the first-degree murder of his mother, Nhoan Kopa, 52.
At approximately 2:57 p.m., officers with the Greensboro Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1600 block of Sunrise Valley Drive after concerned colleagues reported that Nhoan had failed to show up for work. When officers arrived, they discovered Nhoan Kopa deceased in an upstairs bathroom. She had suffered significant trauma and was found in a state of uncontrolled bleeding. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
