NAPOLEONVILLE, LA – The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Kaysha Chermeise Victor, 23, of 2525 Oneil Lane in Baton Rouge, on felony theft of a motor vehicle charges following a bizarre and deceptive incident that took place near Plattenville during the early morning hours of Sunday, July 13, 2025.
Deputies were dispatched to a retail location in Plattenville after receiving a complaint involving a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, they spoke with the vehicle’s owner and complainant, later identified as Tremayne Unique Jaquill LeBeaux, Jr., 25, of St. James, LA. LeBeaux stated he had been traveling with a woman later identified as Kaysha Victor. According to the complaint, the two stopped at a local convenience store, where Victor allegedly asked LeBeaux to go inside to purchase items.
While the complainant was inside the store, Victor allegedly took off in the vehicle without consent.
The case quickly developed when law enforcement in Lincoln County, Mississippi, located the stolen vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Victor was apprehended and taken into custody as a fugitive from Assumption Parish. She was subsequently transferred to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
Upon arrival in Louisiana, Victor was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center and formally charged with:
- Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Felony)
Victor remains incarcerated with her bond set at $75,000.
In a parallel development, deputies conducting a thorough investigation into the matter discovered that the complainant, Tremayne LeBeaux, Jr., was in violation of an existing protective order at the time of the incident. He was also arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on the following charge:

LeBeaux was later released after posting a $2,500 commercial bond.
Sheriff Leland Falcon emphasized that this incident underscores the importance of thorough investigation and inter-agency cooperation, particularly with law enforcement agencies across state lines.
“We appreciate the swift response and professionalism of the Lincoln County, Mississippi authorities in apprehending the suspect and ensuring the safe return of the stolen vehicle.
