Remembering Detective Bryan Bodine , Hardin County Mourns the Loss of a Dedicated Public Servant

With heavy hearts, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office announces the passing of Detective Bryan Bodine, who died on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. His unexpected departure has left a profound void in our department and the greater Hardin County community. Known for his unwavering dedication, professionalism, and compassionate service, Detective Bodine’s legacy will continue to inspire all those who had the honor of working alongside him.

Detective Bodine served Hardin County with honor and distinction. Throughout his years with the Sheriff’s Office, he exemplified what it meant to be a true public servant—steadfast in his commitment to justice, relentless in his pursuit of the truth, and deeply empathetic toward victims and families affected by crime. Whether leading complex investigations or mentoring new deputies, Bryan was always willing to go above and beyond, guided by a strong moral compass and an earnest desire to make his community safer.

Colleagues remember Bryan not only as a skilled investigator but also as a kind-hearted friend and teammate who brought integrity, humor, and humility to the workplace.
