At approximately 4:30 p.m., officers from the Calgary Police Service responded to multiple reports of gunfire within a parking garage located in the 8700 block of Horton Road S.W. Upon arrival, they discovered a young woman — later identified as Madisson — suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the rapid response from emergency medical personnel and exhaustive lifesaving efforts, she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, July 22, to formally determine the cause of death, but authorities have already confirmed the incident is being treated as a homicide. The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit has taken the lead in the investigation and believes the shooting was a targeted act. So far, no suspects have been arrested.

The vehicle carries British Columbia license plate PP322J and was parked on the fourth level of the garage prior to the incident.
