Murfreesboro Woman, 63, Dies After Two-Vehicle Crash on South Rutherford Boulevard

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (July 23, 2025) — A tragic accident that occurred last Friday on South Rutherford Boulevard has claimed the life of 63-year-old Belinda Talley, who passed away on Monday, July 21, from injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities with the Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) confirmed her death as the result of the two-vehicle collision.

The incident unfolded when Belinda Talley, behind the wheel of a Nissan Altima, attempted to make a left-hand turn onto South Rutherford Boulevard. According to initial findings from the FACT investigation, she failed to yield to an oncoming Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a 17-year-old male, resulting in a violent crash.

The collision left Talley trapped inside her vehicle, prompting a rapid emergency response. Crews from the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department used extraction tools to free her from the wreckage.
