According to the Heber City Police Department, officers responded at 11:39 p.m. to reports of a stabbing inside the restaurant. Upon arrival, authorities found two victims: one suffering critical abdominal wounds, and another with a stab wound to the leg. Both victims were rushed to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment.

Surveillance footage revealed that five suspects forcibly entered the closed restaurant where the celebration was being held. The footage reportedly shows Jose Manuel Gervacio removing a weapon from his pocket and repeatedly stabbing one of the victims. He was accompanied by Cristian Gervacio, David Gervacio, Johnny Gervacio, and an unidentified Hispanic male, all of whom acted together in the coordinated attack before fleeing the scene.

In a swift and high-risk operation, Heber Police executed a SWAT search warrant which led to the detention of eight individuals. Cristian, David, and Johnny Gervacio were arrested on-site and taken into custody. Police say the operation also uncovered a $5 bill laced with a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, along with other items of interest.

Authorities confirmed that at least three of the suspects are affiliated with violent gangs, including the Latin Kings and Surenos, raising concerns about deeper criminal ties and potential threats to public safety.

Jose Manuel Gervacio, who allegedly carried out the stabbing, remains at large, along with the fifth unidentified suspect. A warrant has been issued for Jose’s arrest, and photos of both Jose and the unidentified individual have been released to aid in the manhunt.
