LEWISVILLE, TX — July 24, 2025 — The Lewisville Police Department (LPD) has confirmed that a multi-jurisdictional pursuit involving a female suspect with a felony warrant ended in a fatal officer-involved shooting early Thursday morning. The incident unfolded around midnight and concluded in a commercial parking lot located in the 2200 block of the southbound I-35E service road.
Authorities have asked the public to avoid the area as officers continue to process the scene. According to LPD officials, there is no ongoing threat to public safety.

The sequence of events began when an LPD officer conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle driven by a woman suspected of having an active felony warrant issued by another agency. After confirming the woman’s identity and verifying the existence of the warrant, the suspect abruptly fled the scene at a high rate of speed, initiating a pursuit that spanned multiple jurisdictions.
During the chase, the suspect collided with an LPD patrol vehicle but continued to evade officers. Fortunately, the officer involved in the crash was not injured.
