Authorities are actively investigating a firearms-related incident that left one man hospitalized with a gunshot wound on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 23, 2025. The incident, which occurred in what police believe was a targeted act of violence, has prompted a community-wide search for answers and calls for cooperation from the public.
At approximately 3:51 p.m., EMS and local police units were dispatched to the area of USH 12/16 and Fitzgerald Road, where a male victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency personnel acted swiftly to stabilize the victim before transporting him to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The nature and extent of the victim’s injuries have not yet been disclosed, but authorities have confirmed that he remains under medical care.
As part of the ongoing investigation, police conducted follow-up operations and were led to the 600 block of Commercial Avenue, where evidence confirmed that a shooting had occurred outside a private residence. Crime scene investigators cordoned off the area to collect forensic evidence, including shell casings, surveillance footage, and potential witness statements.
