Zachary S. Lambert Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Anthony Wayne Trail

WATERVILLE, OH — July 24, 2025 — A tragic collision in Waterville late Thursday night claimed the life of 41-year-old Zachary S. Lambert, a resident of Toledo, Ohio. The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Toledo Post is currently investigating the fatal crash, which occurred around 11:38 p.m. at the intersection of Anthony Wayne Trail and Mechanic Street.

According to investigators, Dustin L. Wyckoff, 18, of Haskins, was operating a 2005 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck and traveling southwest on the Anthony Wayne Trail. At the same time, Zachary Lambert was riding his motorcycle northeast along the same road. The two vehicles collided at the intersection under circumstances that remain under investigation.

Despite wearing a helmet, Lambert sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by first responders.

The crash prompted authorities to close the Anthony Wayne Trail for approximately two hours while law enforcement and emergency personnel worked to secure the area and begin a detailed investigation. The Ohio State Highway Patrol received assistance from the Waterville Police Department, Waterville Township Police, Waterville Fire & EMS, Whitehouse EMS, and the Lucas County Coroner’s Office.
