Amargosa Valley, NV – A quiet desert community has been shaken by the discovery of a deceased man under suspicious circumstances, prompting a full-scale homicide investigation led by the Nye County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO).
On Monday, July 28, 2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m., a 911 call was placed to NCSO Dispatch reporting a possible deceased individual in Amargosa Valley, a small, rural area in Nye County. Deputies promptly responded to the scene and quickly determined that the circumstances surrounding the discovery were suspicious in nature.
Shortly after, detectives from the Pahrump division were called in to assess the scene and collect evidence. After an initial investigation, it was determined that the death was not natural or accidental. The deceased has since been identified as Neftali Correa, a male victim whose death is now officially being treated as a homicide.
