FORT WAYNE, IN — The Allen County community is grappling with grief following the heartbreaking and senseless death of Roger Marvin Swedzinski, a 67-year-old longtime resident of Fort Wayne. Swedzinski’s life was tragically cut short in what authorities have described as an act of violence that unfolded on Saturday morning in the typically peaceful Huntertown area.
The incident occurred just after dawn, when local authorities responded to reports of gunfire in a residential neighborhood near the outskirts of Huntertown. Upon arrival, deputies from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department discovered Swedzinski suffering from critical gunshot wounds. Despite the swift response of emergency medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
