It is with heavy hearts and unimaginable sorrow that we share the passing of Aden Jumper, a former student and cherished member of the Carolina Academy family. Aden, a rising senior, was taken from us far too soon — a young man brimming with potential, joy, and a warmth that left a lasting mark on everyone he met.
Aden was more than just a student; he was a friend, teammate, and inspiration to those who had the honor of sharing in his life. Whether in the classroom, on the athletic field, or simply walking the halls of Carolina Academy, his bright smile and vibrant personality lit up every room he entered. Teachers spoke of his eagerness to learn and his respectful, kind demeanor. Friends admired his loyalty, humor, and the way he made everyone feel welcome and seen.
Aden had big dreams — dreams he chased with determination, curiosity, and heart. He was a talented young man whose interests were as broad as his compassion was deep. From academics to athletics, from art to service, he brought energy and purpose to all he did. He exemplified the values we hold dear: honor, humility, and humanity.
In times like these, there are no words that can truly capture the depth of our grief. The Carolina Academy community is mourning alongside Aden’s family, holding tightly to the love, the memories, and the unshakable legacy of a young life that impacted so many in such a short time.
We will be sharing details about a memorial service in the coming days, and we invite all who knew and loved Aden to come together in remembrance. In the meantime, we ask for your prayers for Aden’s family, friends, classmates, and teachers. Let us lean on one another, support one another, and honor Aden by striving to carry forward the kindness and light he brought into our lives.
Though Aden’s time with us was tragically brief, his spirit will forever live on in the halls of our school, in the stories we share, and in the hearts of all who loved him.
Rest in peace, Aden.
Your light remains with us always.
