Avondale Borough, PA – July 31, 2025 — The Southern Chester County Regional Police Department (SCCRPD) is actively seeking the public’s assistance in locating Mario Lopez-Sanchez, a 29-year-old male who is wanted in connection with a violent stabbing incident that occurred earlier this month in Avondale Borough.
On the evening of July 19, 2025, at approximately 8:00 PM, officers from SCCRPD were dispatched to a residence located on East Third Street in Avondale Borough following a 911 call reporting an adult male suffering from multiple stab wounds. Upon arrival, officers located the victim and immediately rendered aid. Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment. The current condition of the victim has not been publicly disclosed.
The subsequent investigation revealed that the assault had taken place the previous evening, on July 18, during a confrontation that escalated to violence. Authorities have identified Mario Lopez-Sanchez as the primary suspect in this brutal attack. According to reports, Lopez-Sanchez arrived at the East Third Street residence during the evening hours and, during an altercation, stabbed the victim numerous times before fleeing the scene on foot or by unknown means.
Through detailed investigative efforts, including witness interviews and forensic analysis, SCCRPD investigators were able to positively identify Lopez-Sanchez as the perpetrator. As a result, an arrest warrant has been issued for Aggravated Assault and related criminal offenses.
Lopez-Sanchez is now considered armed and dangerous, and authorities urge anyone who may encounter him not to approach but to immediately contact law enforcement.
