Macon, GA – Alexander Strebeck and Landon Lawless Tragically Killed in North Macon Crash

The Bibb County community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of two teenagers, Alexander Floyd Strebeck, 18, of Forsyth, and Landon Brooks Lawless, 17, of Fort Valley, who were both killed in a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning in North Macon.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the tragic incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, on Zebulon Road near Coleparchee Road. Deputies responded after receiving a 911 call reporting a crash involving a pickup truck that had left the roadway and collided with a tree.

Investigators say Alexander Strebeck was driving a Dodge pickup truck when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle veered off the road and struck a tree. The crash was severe and resulted in fatal injuries for both Strebeck and his passenger, Landon Lawless.

According to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, Landon Lawless was ejected from the vehicle during the collision. Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley pronounced both teens deceased at the scene.

Authorities have confirmed that both Strebeck and Lawless had valid driver’s licenses. Their families have been notified, and an outpouring of support and grief has followed in their communities of Forsyth and Fort Valley.

The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation. Officials have not yet determined whether speed, fatigue, mechanical failure, or other factors played a role. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with additional information about the incident to contact their fatality investigators at 478-751-7500.

This devastating accident has sent shockwaves through the Middle Georgia region. Friends, classmates, and family members have begun sharing heartfelt tributes and memories of Alexander Strebeck and Landon Lawless, both described as kind, spirited young men with bright futures ahead.

“This kind of tragedy is something no family, no community ever wants to face,” one official said. “Two young lives ended far too soon.”

Counseling services are being made available to students and community members affected by the loss, and plans for public memorials are underway.

As the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate, the focus remains on honoring the memory of Alexander Strebeck and Landon Lawless, and providing support to the families and friends who are now left grieving a tremendous loss.
