PLEASE SHARE THIS POST – The Syracuse Police Department is urgently requesting the public’s help in identifying the parent or legal guardian of a young child found alone this afternoon.
At approximately 4:15 p.m., officers responded to a call reporting an unattended child walking near the intersection of Cannon Street and Warner Avenue. When officers arrived on the scene, they located the child, who appeared to be unaccompanied and unable to provide identifying information about themselves or their guardians.
The child, whose image has been shared by the department, is currently safe and in the care of authorities. However, efforts to identify their parent or guardian have not yet been successful. At this time, the most urgent priority is to reunite the child with their family or responsible caretaker and to ensure their safety and well-being.
The Syracuse Police Department is asking for anyone who recognizes the child or has any information regarding their parent(s), guardian(s), or caregiver(s) to please come forward immediately. Even the smallest detail could prove crucial in resolving this situation quickly and safely.
