In Loving Memory of Elder William “Pie” Parker Sr. A Faithful Servant, A Devoted Leader, A Man After God’s Own Heart

With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we share the news of the passing of Elder William “Pie” Parker Sr., a beloved pillar of faith, family, and community. Elder Parker peacefully transitioned from this life, leaving behind a legacy rooted in unwavering devotion to God and selfless service to others.

A cherished member and elder of Mount Carmel Seventh-day Adventist Church, Elder Parker was more than a spiritual leader—he was a friend, a mentor, a counselor, and a father figure to many. His words carried wisdom, his presence brought peace, and his prayers uplifted generations. Known affectionately by many as “Pie,” Elder Parker exemplified love in action and faith in motion.

Whether standing at the pulpit or quietly ministering behind the scenes, he always served with humility and joy. His passion for ministry was evident in every sermon delivered, every hand held in prayer, and every life he touched with compassion and grace. Elder Parker was a guiding light to our congregation, a man whose faith never wavered and whose heart remained steadfast in the service of the Lord.

He was also a devoted family man, one who poured love and wisdom into his children, grandchildren, and extended family. His role as a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend will be remembered not only for the strength and guidance he offered, but for the gentle humor and kindness that was so uniquely his.

The absence of Elder Parker’s voice in our sanctuary is a loss that will be deeply felt. Yet, we know that his legacy lives on—in the lessons he taught, in the lives he helped shape, and in the firm foundation of faith he helped lay for future generations.

We invite the community to join us as we celebrate his life and honor his memory at his homegoing service on:

He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
