HOLDENVILLE, Okla. – August 4, 2025 — Authorities in Holdenville are urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating Joshua Draper, a man identified as a person of interest in a violent home invasion and aggravated assault that took place on the night of Saturday, August 3.
According to the Holdenville Police Department, the incident unfolded around 10:20 p.m. in the 700 block of South Oak Street, when a male suspect—later identified as Draper—forcibly kicked in the front door of a residence, initiating a terrifying and brutal attack on the two individuals inside.
Upon entering the home, Draper reportedly physically assaulted both occupants, inflicting multiple stab wounds on a male victim before turning on a female resident and assaulting her as well. The male victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to an area hospital for emergency medical care. The female victim’s injuries were not specified, but authorities confirmed she also required medical attention.
Escaped on Motorcycle; Weapon Used in Attack
After carrying out the assault, Draper fled the scene on a motorcycle. Investigators later located what they believe to be the escape vehicle—a motorcycle abandoned in the 800 block of East Main Street. This development has prompted police to intensify their search, focusing efforts on areas in and around the city.
The Holdenville Police Department has labeled Draper as armed and dangerous, and officials are strongly urging the public not to approach him under any circumstances. His current whereabouts are unknown.
Active Investigation and Public Appeal
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident, including interviewing witnesses, gathering surveillance footage, and processing forensic evidence from both crime scenes. Authorities have not released details regarding a motive but believe the attack was targeted.
“This was a brazen and violent act that has left two people injured and a neighborhood shaken,” said a spokesperson for the department. “We are doing everything in our power to locate Joshua Draper and hold him accountable for what happened.”
Investigators are appealing to the public for any information that could help lead to Draper’s arrest. He may be on foot or attempting to travel using another vehicle.

Anyone with information about Joshua Draper’s location or activities is asked to immediately contact Hughes County Central Dispatch at (405) 379-6627, or dial 911 in case of an emergency. Tipsters may remain anonymous, but are strongly advised not to approach or confront Draper, as he may still be in possession of a weapon.
Community on Edge
