ROSEVILLE, Calif. β A disturbing incident that unfolded in a Roseville park has now moved into the courtroom as 27-year-old Sergiy Fedchyk faced formal arraignment on multiple criminal charges related to an attempted rape and sexual battery, according to the Placer County District Attorneyβs Office.
The charges stem from a terrifying event that occurred on the evening of Saturday, August 3, 2025, at a public park in the Roseville area. According to law enforcement officials, a woman placed a 911 call during the incident, reporting that she was being chased and attacked by an unknown male assailant. Thanks to the swift response from the Placer County Sheriffβs Office, deputies were able to apprehend Fedchyk at the scene, preventing further harm to the victim.
