In Loving Memory of Lee Claydon (1984–2025) A Devoted Father, Partner, Son, Brother, and Cherished Friend

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Lee Claydon, aged 41, who lost his life in a devastating fall during an Oasis concert at Wembley Stadium in London on the evening of Saturday, August 2, 2025.

Lee, a beloved resident of Dorset, England, was identified as the victim by multiple family members and friends following reports from The Telegraph, The Independent, and The Bristol Post. He was attending the much-anticipated Oasis reunion tour when the incident occurred, and despite swift medical attention from Wembley staff, paramedics, and the London Ambulance Service, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 10:19 p.m., according to the Metropolitan Police.

Lee’s unexpected passing has shaken his family, friends, and local community to the core. His brother Aaron Claydon, in a heartfelt tribute shared on a GoFundMe page, described him as a “devoted family man” and a loving father to his young son, Harry.

“Our family has been turned upside down and we are struggling to cope with this devastation and unexpected loss,” Aaron wrote. “Lee would have done anything for any of us. He was taken from us far too soon; we will miss him immensely.”

Lee was known as a landscape gardener, a profession that reflected his deep appreciation for nature and beauty. In both his work and personal life, he poured energy into nurturing the world around him—whether that meant creating beautiful outdoor spaces or simply being present and reliable for those who loved him.

To his family, Lee was much more than a provider. He was a pillar of strength, a role model, and a constant source of warmth and support. His bond with his son Harry was especially profound—Lee’s pride in Harry was evident in everything he did. He also shared a loving and enduring relationship with his partner Amanda, with whom he built a life filled with laughter, love, and shared dreams. His presence will be deeply missed by Amanda, Harry, his father, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews, all of whom are now navigating a world made dimmer by his absence.

As the family grapples with this unimaginable loss, Aaron created the fundraising campaign not only to honor Lee’s memory but also to support Amanda and Harry during this painful time.

“Please assist us in raising as much money as possible to alleviate one concern for Amanda and the family during this time, as they are facing any family’s worst nightmare,” Aaron added in the fundraiser.

The tragedy has also rippled beyond Lee’s close circle. In a statement shared by PEOPLE, the band Oasis—led by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher—expressed their devastation over the incident:

“We are shocked and saddened to learn of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night. Oasis wishes to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.”

In the wake of the tragedy, Metropolitan Police have called upon the public to come forward with any information or video footage from the concert that might shed light on the circumstances surrounding Lee’s fall. Officers believe there may be witnesses or individuals who captured the incident on mobile devices, knowingly or unknowingly.

“The stadium was busy, and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may have caught it on mobile phone video footage,” police said in a statement.

Lee Claydon’s untimely passing serves as a heartbreaking reminder of how fragile and precious life is. He was a man of kindness, character, and quiet strength—qualities that live on through his son, his family, and the countless lives he touched.

In this time of mourning, we remember Lee not only for the tragic way he left us, but for the joy, love, and meaning he brought into the world every day he was here.

Lee Claydon, you are deeply missed, forever remembered, and eternally loved.

May your soul rest in peace, and may your memory continue to shine as brightly as you lived.
