TEMPLE, TX — The Temple Police Department has confirmed the identity of the victim involved in a tragic motorcycle crash that occurred early Tuesday morning on Interstate 35. The man has been identified as Tobi Moss, Jr., 24, of Decatur, Texas.
The fatal accident took place shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, near exit 298 on the northbound lanes of I-35. According to initial reports, Moss was riding his motorcycle when, for reasons still under investigation, he slammed into the back of another vehicle. Despite the rapid response from emergency personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding what led to the collision, but the crash resulted in a significant disruption to morning commuters. Police closed the northbound stretch of I-35 at exit 299 for several hours, diverting traffic as crash reconstruction specialists and investigators worked the scene to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
