STRAWBERRY PLAINS, TN (August 5, 2025) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has issued an Endangered Child Alert on behalf of the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office for Kevin James Hood, a 16-year-old boy who has gone missing under concerning circumstances.
Kevin was last seen on Tuesday afternoon, August 5, at his home located on Thorn Grove Pike in Strawberry Plains. He was wearing black gym shorts and a gray t-shirt at the time of his disappearance. Authorities note that Kevin has a knee brace on his right leg and is currently using crutches, which may limit his mobility and increase concern for his safety.
Due to Kevin’s physical condition and the lack of information on his current whereabouts, officials are taking the matter very seriously. The TBI and Sevier County authorities are urgently appealing to the public for assistance in locating him.
