ST. PAULS, NC (August 5, 2025) — A heartbreaking tragedy is unfolding in Bladen County as authorities investigate the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old woman from Fayetteville. The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) has confirmed that Aaliyah U. Isles, a vibrant young woman just beginning her adult life, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound on Monday morning, August 4.
Deputies responded to the area near Talmage Road and Tolarsville Road in St. Pauls after a report of a person lying unresponsive near the roadway. Upon arrival, officers discovered Isles had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Despite emergency response efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and law enforcement has not yet released any information regarding suspects or motive. Officials are treating the case as a homicide and are asking for the public’s help to piece together the events that led to Isles’ untimely death.
