In Loving Memory of James R. Clark (1991 – 2025)

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we share the passing of James R. Clark, age 34, of Constantia, New York, who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in West Monroe, Oswego County. James’s untimely death has sent shockwaves through his family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him.

The Accident

According to a statement from the New York State Police, the fatal crash occurred around 3:24 p.m. on Route 11. James was riding his 2006 Suzuki motorcycle southbound when he collided with the rear of a hay wagon being towed by a 2015 Chevrolet pickup truck. The truck, driven by 73-year-old Robert D. Esker of West Monroe, was also traveling south and had slowed to make a left turn into a driveway.

The hay wagon was properly marked with a slow-moving vehicle triangle, officials confirmed. Tragically, James was unable to avoid the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Esker was not injured in the incident.

The crash remains under active investigation by law enforcement. No charges have been filed as of this writing.

A Life Cut Tragically Short

James R. Clark was known throughout the Constantia and greater Oswego County area as a dedicated, big-hearted man who lived life with grit and grace. He loved motorcycles, the open road, and the freedom that came with it. Riding wasn’t just a hobby for James — it was a passion, a lifestyle, and a form of peace.

Friends say he was the type of person who always checked in, always showed up, and always had your back. Whether it was lending a hand on a project, sharing a cold drink after a long ride, or cracking a joke to lighten the mood, James had a way of making everyone feel like family.

He worked with pride in the trades and was respected by colleagues for his reliability, craftsmanship, and get-it-done attitude. But beyond work and bikes, James’s heart belonged to the people in his life — his loved ones, his riding brothers, and his close-knit circle in Constantia.

A Community in Mourning

News of James’s death has devastated those closest to him and rattled the riding community. Vigils are being planned by friends and fellow motorcyclists who want to honor his memory, with many already sharing photos, tributes, and stories online.

He is remembered not just as a motorcyclist, but as a son, a brother, a friend, and a fiercely loyal soul who brought light to even the darkest moments.

Final Reflections

As his family begins to make funeral arrangements, they are asking for prayers, privacy, and support during this incredibly difficult time. They are also asking motorists to remain vigilant and aware of motorcycles on the road — a message James would’ve wanted amplified.

“James lived fast, rode hard, and loved deeply. His presence was powerful, his friendship genuine, and his heart immense. Though his final ride came far too soon, the road he paved in the lives of others will never fade.”

Rest in peace, James R. Clark. You will be missed beyond words and remembered forever.

Memorial service details will be announced by the family in the coming days.
