PALM HARBOR, Fla. — The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 25-year-old Paul Ihab Sobhy Rizk of Palm Harbor on multiple charges related to the possession and transmission of child sexual abuse material, following a detailed criminal investigation.
According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, the investigation began after authorities received a tip indicating that an individual was using an online platform to access and distribute illegal images. Detectives with the PCSO’s Crimes Against Children Unit launched a full investigation to identify the source of the content.
Through digital forensic techniques, detectives were able to trace the activity to Rizk. A search warrant was executed at his residence, during which investigators reportedly found several files depicting child sexual abuse material on his electronic devices.
As a result of the investigation, Rizk was taken into custody and formally charged with four counts of Possession of Child Pornography and four counts of Transmission of Child Pornography. According to authorities, the case remains active and additional charges may be possible as forensic analysis continues.
Ongoing Efforts and Community Involvement
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office emphasized that protecting children from exploitation remains one of its highest priorities. In a statement, the agency thanked the public for their vigilance and encouraged community members to report suspicious behavior or internet activity involving minors.
Rizk was booked into the Pinellas County Jail. His bond and court appearance details have not yet been released.
