GREENSBORO, NC (August 6, 2025) – The Greensboro Police Department has announced a major development in the ongoing investigation of a recent homicide. Earlier today, members of the department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) successfully apprehended 29-year-old Ronald Robinson in connection with the death of Wilmer Jones.
Robinson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Guilford County Jail, where he is being held without bond. Authorities confirmed that a warrant had been issued for Robinson’s arrest on the charge of First-Degree Murder.
The homicide occurred on Hamilton Hills Drive, and Robinson’s arrest marks a significant step forward in the case. Police have not released additional details about the motive or circumstances surrounding the incident, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.
Wilmer Jones’ next of kin has been notified of the arrest, and Greensboro police continue to work diligently to ensure justice is served.
