LANSING, Mich. — Authorities in Jackson are urgently requesting community assistance in locating Antonio Treyvonne Green, who faces serious charges related to the shooting death of 18-year-old Mia Sims in late July.
Green has been charged with second-degree murder, discharging a firearm in or at a building causing death, and felony firearm possession. The second-degree murder charge carries a penalty of up to life imprisonment, with the possibility of parole.

On July 27, Jackson Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire near the United Peoples Church at approximately 12:45 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found Sims suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.
