On Friday, August 8, 2025, at approximately 6:45 p.m., Dover Police responded to a shooting incident near the intersection of Simon Circle and West North Street. A 20-year-old Dover man was found with gunshot wounds to his upper and lower body in the 300 block of Simon Circle.
Officers administered on-scene medical aid before the victim was transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus for further treatment. Several nearby residences were also struck by gunfire during the incident, adding to the severity of the situation.
At this time, the victim has not cooperated with police questioning, and no suspect information has been released. The investigation remains active as Dover Police continue working to gather evidence and identify those responsible.
