Chicago Police are investigating a harrowing mass shooting that occurred overnight on Sunday, August 10th, 2025, at the intersection of Wilcox and Kilbourne on the city’s West Side. The incident left four individuals shot, including two teenagers, one of whom tragically died from their injuries.
Authorities responded promptly to emergency calls reporting gunfire and arrived on the scene to find four victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims included:
- 15-year-old boy: Sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Sadly, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. The community and police are working to confirm his identity and notify his family.
- 16-year-old boy: Also suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body and remains in critical condition at a local hospital.
- 27-year-old male: Sustained a graze wound to the leg.
- 28-year-old male: Suffered graze wounds to the head and neck.
At this time, no suspects have been apprehended.
