The aviation and emergency medical services communities are mourning the devastating loss of four dedicated professionals following a fatal medical aircraft crash on the Navajo Nation. Among those who tragically perished were pilots Jeffrey Tuning and Amanda Benson, whose careers were defined by skill, dedication, and service to others.
The crash occurred on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, shortly after the aircraft departed Albuquerque, New Mexico. The plane, owned and operated by CSI Aviation, was on its way to Chinle, Arizona, when it attempted to land and went down.
