On August 11, 2025, the West Monroe Police Department responded to a distress call in the 100 block of Prune Street concerning a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered two female victims at the scene.
The first victim, Emma Bueno, aged 19, was found with multiple gunshot wounds. She was quickly transported to a local hospital, where she remains in critical condition. Tragically, the second victim, a 17-year-old juvenile female, was pronounced deceased at the scene due to an apparent gunshot wound.
Through witness statements and information provided by the surviving victim, authorities identified Andricko Lamon Lewis Jr., a 21-year-old and the ex-boyfriend of Emma Bueno, as the suspect involved in the shooting.
Law enforcement agencies, including the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, later located Lewis. When officers attempted to take him into custody, he fled in one of the victim’s vehicles, prompting a high-speed pursuit across the area. The pursuit concluded with Lewis found deceased inside the vehicle from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
This heartbreaking incident is currently under active investigation as authorities work to piece together the full details and circumstances surrounding the shooting.
