Chamblee, Georgia – Chamblee Police have released new images related to the deadly drive-by shooting that occurred on August 3, 2025, behind Oriental Plaza at 4897 Buford Highway. Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three men seen entering a black Cadillac Escalade, believed to be involved in the homicide of Abdul Hydara, 31. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest or further leads in the case.
According to investigators, the shooting took place around 4:28 a.m. Witnesses reported that the incident unfolded outside the IBIZA ATL lounge, where patrons were caught off guard by the sudden chaos. One witness described the scene: people began rushing inside the lounge as the DJ instructed everyone to leave. When the witness and her friend stepped outside, they saw Abdul Hydara on the ground, surrounded by first responders who attempted to save his life.
The black Cadillac Escalade involved in the incident was observed leaving the scene with a drive-out tag from an unknown state. Chamblee Police are urging anyone who recognizes the vehicle or the men pictured to come forward with information.
