Trevor David Reeves (5 November 1960 – 12 August 2025)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Trevor David Reeves on 12 August 2025. Surrounded by the love of his family—Amelia, George, San, and Glenys—Trev departed this world knowing he was cherished until the very end.

Trev was a man whose creativity, generosity, and passion left a lasting mark on everyone he encountered. His absence will be deeply felt across numerous communities, particularly The Wonthaggi Men’s Shed, The Victorian Clubman’s Builders Group, and the international kite community, where his energy and spirit inspired countless individuals. Trev had an enduring love for life and a drive to give back, embodying the kind of compassion and dedication that touched people in ways both big and small.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the team at the Alfred Hospital, whose tireless care made Trev’s final days as comfortable and peaceful as possible. Special recognition goes to Dr. Adrian Clarke and nurses Ezra, An, and Hannah, who provided him with compassionate, attentive care, and to Sam from DonateLife, whose assistance ensured that even in death, Trev’s generosity continued. Through organ and tissue donation, Trev’s eyes will restore sight to two people, and parts of his heart will live on in others—a final gift that reflects the kindness he demonstrated throughout his life.

A celebration of Trev’s remarkable life will be held at Ashburton Uniting Church on Friday, 22nd August at 11:00 AM. Further details will be shared closer to the date. The family warmly invites friends, colleagues, and community members to share fond memories, stories, and reflections on Trev’s life in the comments, honoring the joy and connection he brought to so many.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Black Dog Institute in Trev’s name, continuing his legacy of care and support for others.

Trev Reeves will be remembered for his creativity, his generosity, and the love he freely gave. His life touched countless hearts, and his memory will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Rest in peace, Trev. Your spirit and contributions live on.
