SOUTH BEND, IN — The South Bend Police Department (SBPD) is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating 37-year-old Brandon Pryor, who has been charged in connection with a disturbing child molestation case that occurred earlier this year. Authorities are warning that Pryor should be considered armed and dangerous.
The case began in May 2025, when a teenage girl reported to an SBPD School Resource Officer that she had been sexually assaulted before school that morning. The victim told police she had missed her school bus and was walking to school along the 200 block of North Olive Street when a black SUV pulled alongside her.
According to her statement, the male driver — later identified as Pryor — told her to get into the vehicle. She noticed a car seat in the back, which led her to believe it might be safe, and she accepted the ride. The victim said she asked to be driven to school, but instead, Pryor parked near an abandoned house, where the assault took place.
Following the assault, Pryor allegedly drove the teen back and dropped her off near the school.
Through a joint investigation by South Bend Police and the St. Joseph County Special Victims Unit, Pryor was identified as the suspect. In late June, the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office charged him with two counts of Child Molesting. Initially, the arrest warrant for Pryor was sealed to aid law enforcement in locating him discreetly.
