Steven Diamond Obituary, Death — Community Mourns Man Killed in East Meadow Crash

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — Authorities have identified Steven Diamond, 55, of Farmingdale, as the victim of a tragic two-car collision that claimed his life on Sunday afternoon.

According to Nassau County police, the crash occurred at the intersection of Carman Avenue and Salisbury Park Drive. Investigators say a 40-year-old woman driving a 2012 Nissan Maxima northbound on Carman Avenue collided with a 2024 Nissan Altima being driven by a 57-year-old woman.

Diamond was a passenger in the Altima, along with a 56-year-old woman. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, but despite their efforts, Diamond succumbed to his injuries. The three other people involved in the crash sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Steven Diamond’s sudden passing has left his family, friends, and the Farmingdale community in deep shock and grief. Known for his warmth, humor, and caring spirit, Diamond will be remembered as a man who valued his relationships and touched the lives of many.

Police have confirmed that the investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing, and no additional details have been released at this time.

If you’d like, I can also prepare a more personal memorial version that celebrates Steven’s life and legacy with more focus on his background, passions, and family. That would make it feel less like a police report and more like a tribute.
