It is with the deepest sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the End of Watch for our beloved Chief, Michael Phillips. Chief Phillips made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty while responding to a call for service during the early morning hours of July 5th, 2025. At this time, Chief Phillips is still officially listed as missing, a painful and unresolved chapter in an already heartbreaking loss.
Chief Phillips was not only a dedicated public servant—he was the soul of our department. He served with unmatched integrity, courage, and compassion. A leader by example, a mentor to many, and a friend to all, Chief Phillips embodied what it meant to be a protector of the people. He led with humility and strength, and in every moment of service, he showed us what it truly means to wear the badge with honor.
To us, Chief Phillips was more than a colleague. He was family. His absence has left a profound void—one that will never be filled. His laughter, his guidance, and his unwavering dedication to this community will echo through our halls, our patrol cars, and our daily lives. Though gone from our sight, his spirit will forever guide us.
As we mourn this unthinkable loss, we also commit to carrying forward his legacy. Chief Phillips believed in duty, in serving with heart, and in standing up when it mattered most. We will continue his work with the same tenacity and compassion he inspired in all of us. We will protect and serve with pride—because that is what he would have wanted.
To our community: thank you for your love, your support, and your prayers during this tragic time. The strength you give us reminds us that Chief Phillips didn’t just serve a department—he served a town that loved him back.
Chief, your watch may have ended, but your impact will never fade. You led us with honor. You taught us with kindness. You protected us with bravery.
Rest in peace, Chief Michael Phillips. We’ve got it from here.
