Suspect Garrett Leonard Faces New Class A Felony Charge of Child Molestation in Carter County Investigation

Carter County, OK – July 17, 2025 — The Carter County Sheriff’s Office has announced an important development in an ongoing sexual abuse investigation involving Garrett Leonard. Following his initial arrest in June, Leonard now faces an additional charge of Child Molestation in the First Degree, classified as a Class A Felony.

The investigation began earlier this year after authorities received a report of sexual abuse. On June 12, 2025, Garrett Leonard was arrested and charged with Sexual Abuse in the First Degree. Since that time, investigators have continued their work, diligently following new leads and gathering more evidence.

As a result of these continued efforts, Leonard was served with an additional warrant today, July 17, 2025, charging him with Child Molestation in the First Degree. This latest charge significantly escalates the severity of the allegations.

Sheriff Alonzo Bradwell praised the dedicated work of the investigative team, especially Deputy Mark Moore, who has been instrumental in advancing the case. Sheriff Bradwell stated:

“Our commitment to thoroughly investigating these sensitive cases remains steadfast. We will continue working tirelessly to seek justice and protect the safety of our community’s most vulnerable.”

The investigation remains active, and to protect the integrity of the case and privacy of any victims, no further details are being released at this time.

Authorities remind the public that all suspects, including Garrett Leonard, are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Would you like it adjusted for a formal press release style or something more conversational?
