KINGSBURG, CA (July 19, 2025) — A violent and tragic incident unfolded late Friday night in Kingsburg, California, when a man was fatally injured in what authorities are investigating as an assault with a deadly weapon.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. on July 18, officers with the Kingsburg Police Department were dispatched to the area of 7th Avenue and Nevada Street after receiving reports of a possible assault. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a male victim suffering from severe trauma.
Emergency medical personnel transported the man to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save him, he was later pronounced dead. The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office has since assumed control of the investigation.
Due to the sensitive nature of the case and the need to notify next of kin, the identity of the victim has not yet been released to the public. Authorities say they are actively pursuing multiple leads and piecing together the events that led up to the fatal attack.
“We are fully committed to bringing justice to the victim and his family,” said a spokesperson for the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office. “Detectives are working diligently to gather evidence, speak with witnesses, and follow up on all information coming in.”
