The devastating incident occurred around 2:10 a.m. near Juneau Avenue and Broadway, close to the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) campus. According to the Milwaukee Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire and discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
One of the victims, a 15-year-old teenager, sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. While the teen is expected to recover physically, the emotional toll of the traumatic event is immeasurable.
Tragically, the second victim — identified by his grieving family as Raymond Wilson Jr. — was shot in the chest and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He was just 21 years old.
