Reed Alexander Bolser, 28, of Richmond, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 21.
Reed was born on March 3, 1997, to Rick and Lori Bolser. He enjoyed an all-American childhood in his beloved town of Liberty, IN. Reed could often be found exploring the woods with his dog, fixing up or racing vehicles with his dad, chopping wood, fishing, and hunting with his best friends, working out with his brother, sharing the gospel with others, chatting around a campfire, or getting into mischief in true Duke Brothers fashion.
Reed was a 2015 graduate of Union County High School and a 2019 graduate of Purdue Polytechnic. Reed worked at Contract Industrial Tooling as a Quality Technician/Creaform Specialist, but his true specialty was in storytelling and entertaining coworkers. Reed’s unwavering passion was tree work and running his business, Homeland Tree Care. Reed worked evenings and weekends sharpening chainsaws and climbing and felling trees, with nothing but peanuts and energy drinks in his system.
Reed’s mission was to share the message of salvation with others. He earnestly shared the verses, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Reed was a member of Faith Baptist Church, where he attended with his dear wife, Abby.
Reed is survived by his loving wife of 1.5 years, Abigail (Alka) Bolser, mother and father, Rick and Lori Bolser, brother, Ryan (Vanessa) Bolser, and sister, Anna (Tyler) Soper. He also leaves behind his precious niece and nephew, Roman and Wrenley Bolser, lifelong best friend, Ben (Jessie) Peters, and three bonus nieces and nephews, Bailey, Bentley, and Beckham Peters. Another friend left to cherish Reed’s memory is his dear buddy, Tristan Adams. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Carol Byrd and Margaret Bolser. Reed is survived by many loving family members and friends.
Reed is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gene Byrd and Russell Bolser, and his beloved dog, Lilly Jo.
