Investigation Ongoing After Crash Claims Life of Gianni De’Andre Fleming in Waldorf

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Operations Unit is investigating a fatal crash that took the life of 27-year-old Gianni De’Andre Fleming, a resident of Waldorf, Maryland, in the early hours of Sunday, July 21, 2025.

At approximately 3:58 a.m., officers were dispatched to Post Office Road near Leonardtown Road following reports of a serious two-vehicle collision. Upon arrival, they discovered that a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro, driven solely by Gianni Fleming, had been struck from behind by a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse. Both vehicles were traveling northbound on Post Office Road at the time of the crash.

Despite the rapid response of emergency crews, Gianni Fleming was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries. The driver of the Traverse was not injured in the collision.

Investigators are still working to determine what caused the crash. At this time, the reason for the rear-end impact remains unclear, and no charges have been filed. Authorities are continuing to gather evidence and speak with potential witnesses.
