TALLADEGA, AL — The Talladega Police Department, in coordination with multiple law enforcement partners, has made a critical arrest in connection with the brutal quadruple homicide that occurred earlier this month.
On July 5, 2025, officers responded to an apartment at 1590 Old Shocco Road in Talladega, Alabama, where they discovered four deceased individuals, each suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victims have been identified as:
- Jeffreon Quejuantay Keith, 40
- Querida Lenora Rachel Flores, 30
- Jamari Rashad Evans, 27
- Nicholas Lanod Keith, 44
All four victims were residents of the Talladega area. Their remains were transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery for autopsies, which are currently pending. Preliminary evidence confirms all four deaths resulted from homicidal gun violence.
Ongoing Multi-Agency Investigation
Due to the severity and complexity of the crime, a full-scale investigation was launched, involving collaboration between the following agencies:
- Talladega Police Department
- Talladega County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force
- Talladega County District Attorney’s Office
- Talladega County Sheriff’s Department
- Jacksonville State University Center for Applied Forensics
- East Alabama Metro Crime Center
- Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF)
- Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
These agencies worked diligently to collect evidence, conduct forensic examinations, and follow investigative leads in what is being described as one of the most devastating acts of violence in recent memory.
Arrest of Daishawn Tamar Jackson
On July 22, 2025, investigators arrested Daishawn Tamar Jackson, 28, of Talladega. He has been formally charged with Capital Murder in the deaths of all four victims. Jackson is currently being held without bond at the Talladega County Jail.
While this arrest marks a major development, the investigation remains active. To maintain the integrity of the case, no further information is being released at this time.
