Public Safety Alert: Help Identify Suspect in Brighton House Party Shooting

Adams County, CO — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man suspected of firing multiple gunshots during a chaotic house party in Brighton earlier this month. The alarming incident took place in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 12, 2025, near the intersection of 148th Avenue and Hayesmount Road.

According to authorities, deputies were dispatched to the scene after receiving several 911 calls reporting gunfire at a residence hosting a large gathering. When they arrived, witnesses described a Hispanic male who became involved in a physical altercation before producing a handgun equipped with a tactical light. He then fired up to 20 rounds, sending partygoers fleeing in panic.

The shooter is believed to have fled the area in an orange or red pickup truck. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported at this time, but the potential for tragedy was immense, and investigators are determined to bring the perpetrator to justice.

  • Race: Hispanic male
  • Height: Approximately 5 feet 4 inches
  • Facial Hair: Mustache and goatee
  • Weapon: Handgun with an attached light
  • Vehicle: Possibly an orange or red truck
