In Loving Memory of Curtis L. Snowden, Jr. December 17, 1980 – July 10, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Curtis L. Snowden, Jr., who departed this life far too soon on July 10, 2025, at the age of 44. Born on December 17, 1980, in Amherst, New York, Curtis was the beloved son of the late Pamela Davis and Curtis L. Snowden, Sr., and stepson of the late Sonja Snowden.

Curtis grew up in Lockport, where he graduated from Lockport High School as part of the Class of 1999. From a young age, he was known for his easygoing personality, bright intellect, and love for sports and friendships that would span decades. After high school, Curtis went on to pursue higher education, earning his Bachelor’s degree, a testament to his drive and dedication to personal growth.

Professionally, Curtis found success and purpose as a Compliance Officer at MOOG in East Aurora, where he was known for his integrity, attention to detail, and warm presence among colleagues. His work ethic, professionalism, and sense of humor made him not only a valued team member but also a friend and mentor to many.

Beyond his career, Curtis lived a full and vibrant life. He loved watching sports, especially football and basketball, and could often be found passionately cheering on his favorite teams. An avid basketball player, golfer, and lover of card games, Curtis found joy in the competitive spirit and camaraderie those activities brought him. He especially treasured his baseball trips with friends, which were filled with laughter, memories, and a shared love of the game.

But above all else, Curtis’s greatest joy and deepest love was his daughter, Sidra Snowden. He was a devoted and proud father, finding happiness in every moment spent with her. Whether it was a simple day at the park, helping with homework, or just being present, Curtis’s love for Sidra was boundless and unwavering. He also shared a close, enduring friendship with Ashley (Daniels) Snowden, the mother of his daughter, with whom he co-parented Sidra with respect and care.

Curtis is survived by a loving family, including his cherished daughter Sidra Snowden; his dear friend and mother of his daughter, Ashley (Daniels) Snowden; and his beloved sister, Ashley E. Snowden. He is also survived by his step-siblings: Antonn Melton, Melissa Torbert, Vivian Billie, Dazell Taylor, Jr., Shantell Taylor, and Valerie Taylor; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends who will miss him dearly.

Curtis will be remembered for his quiet strength, loyalty, sense of humor, and the way he made people feel welcomed and valued. He had a gentle spirit and a compassionate heart — a man who never hesitated to help others, share wisdom, or lend a shoulder to lean on.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Curtis during visitation on Wednesday, July 16th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. Funeral services will be held the following morning, Thursday, July 17th at 10:00 AM, at the same location.

As we mourn the sudden loss of Curtis L. Snowden, Jr., we also celebrate the profound impact he made on the lives of those fortunate enough to know and love him. His legacy of love, laughter, loyalty, and fatherhood will continue to live on — in his family, in his daughter, and in every heart he touched.

Rest in peace, Curtis. You will be missed more than words can express, but never forgotten.
