Troup County, GA – The Troup County Sheriff’s Office has announced the successful apprehension of two suspects following a thorough investigation into a series of crimes that occurred at a residence along Cameron Mill Road earlier this month. The incidents, which involved burglary, entering an automobile, and criminal property damage, took place between July 14 and July 17 in the 3100 block of Cameron Mill Road, leaving residents in the area shaken and calling for justice.
Thanks to the diligent efforts of the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, the case quickly gained momentum. After gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing surveillance materials, investigators were able to identify and arrest Joshua Hyatt, 35, and Jasmine Hendrix, 34, in connection with the crimes.
Both Hyatt and Hendrix are facing two counts of burglary, entering auto, and criminal damage to property, reflecting the severity of the offenses and the impact on the affected property owner. During the course of the arrests, deputies recovered a stolen firearm, a critical piece of evidence, and successfully returned the majority of the stolen property to the rightful owner — a development that brought a measure of relief to the victim and the surrounding community.
“The ability to return stolen property and take suspects into custody is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our Criminal Investigations Division,” a spokesperson from the Troup County Sheriff’s Office stated. “We’re proud of our team’s efforts and grateful to the public for their support and vigilance.”
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not ruled out the possibility of additional charges or arrests as more information comes to light. Residents in the area are encouraged to remain alert and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
