YORK COUNTY, S.C. (July 26, 2025) — The York County Sheriff’s Office has launched an active investigation following a shooting incident that occurred overnight in the Paddlers Cove community. Deputies were dispatched to the area of Paddlers Cove Drive in the early hours of Saturday, July 26th, where the incident reportedly occurred.
At this time, law enforcement officials are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are asking for the public’s help in gathering crucial evidence. Detectives are urgently seeking video footage from the area of Paddlers Cove Drive captured between 11:30 p.m. on Friday, July 25th and 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 26th.
Authorities believe that surveillance or doorbell cameras from nearby homes, vehicles with dashcams, or any other recording devices active during that one-hour window may hold critical information that could aid in the investigation.
Residents and anyone who may have been in the area during that time are encouraged to review their footage and report anything unusual or suspicious.
