In Loving Memory of R. Ronald Monday May 2, 1943 – July 23, 2025

With humble acceptance of God’s will, the family of R. Ronald “Ron” Monday announces his peaceful passing on July 23, 2025, at 3:29 p.m. Though hearts are heavy with grief, we rejoice in the comforting knowledge that he was welcomed into eternity by his Savior with the words: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Born in Findlay, Ohio, on May 2, 1943, Ron was the beloved son of the late Ralph and Verna B. (Inbody) Monday. His life was one of devotion—first to his faith, then to his family, and also to the community he faithfully served. On August 4, 1962, Ron married the love of his life, Vicky Lynn Hall. Together, they built a partnership grounded in love, respect, and shared values. Their union of nearly 62 years was a testament to enduring love and unwavering commitment.

Ron served his hometown of Findlay with honor and integrity as a Police Officer with the City of Findlay Police Department for nearly 29 years, ultimately retiring as Detective Lieutenant. His decades of service left a lasting legacy of courage, fairness, and deep compassion. Whether patrolling the streets, investigating cases, or mentoring younger officers, Ron’s presence was a steady and calming force.

But beyond the badge, Ron was a man of quiet strength and deep faith. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he took joy in life’s simplest blessings. He was known for his warm smile, wise counsel, and sense of humor. His love for his family was fierce and unwavering.

A man of strong Christian faith, Ron was a committed member of his church and an example to others in how he lived his life. His moral compass was steady, guided by prayer and a deep understanding of service, humility, and kindness.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife Vicky, their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and a wide circle of friends and former colleagues who admired and respected him deeply. His life touched many, and his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled—but also a legacy that will live on through the countless lives he impacted.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join in celebrating Ron’s life and legacy. Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly, and in the spirit of Ron’s generous heart, the family encourages donations to be made in his memory to a local first responders’ or veterans’ charity of your choice.

As we say goodbye to a loving patriarch, faithful public servant, and child of God, we hold tightly to our memories and the assurance of eternal life promised through Christ.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” – Matthew 5:9
Rest in peace, Ron. Your work on Earth is complete, and your reward in Heaven awaits.
