In Loving Memory of Ketasha Fuller (2002–2025),23-Year-Old Woman Tragically Killed in Danville Shooting

DANVILLE, VA – July 27, 2025 — The city of Danville is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Ketasha Fuller, a 23-year-old woman whose life was senselessly taken in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 27. Ketasha was fatally shot following a disturbance at a local gathering, sending shockwaves through the community and prompting an active homicide investigation by the Danville Police Department.

According to officials, officers initially responded to a noise complaint around 3:36 a.m. in the 100 block of Cooper Street. After clearing out the party, police were preparing to leave the scene when a single gunshot rang out. They quickly returned to find Ketasha suffering from a gunshot wound. She was immediately transported to the hospital but sadly succumbed to her injuries a short time later.

Investigators believe the fatal shooting stemmed from an altercation between Ketasha and a male individual, reportedly captured on video. During the dispute, the man allegedly drew a firearm and shot her before fleeing the area.
