Elizabeth City, North Carolina — On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, the Elizabeth City Police Department announced the arrest of one suspect and the active search for another in connection with a shots fired incident that took place the week prior on Tuesday, July 22, in the 500 block of West Ehringhaus Street.
Arrested: Victor Eugene White III
Victor Eugene White III, age 19, a resident of the 1100 block of Old U.S. Highway 17 South, was taken into custody and charged with multiple felony offenses, including:
- Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury
- Discharging a Firearm Within City Limits
White was processed and booked into the Albemarle District Jail, where he is currently being held without bond. His initial court appearance is scheduled for Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at the Pasquotank County District Court.
Wanted: Chloe Grace Breeding
Police have also issued an arrest warrant for Chloe Grace Breeding, age 21, who shares an address with White on the 1100 block of Old U.S. Highway 17 South. She is currently wanted for:
- Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury
- Discharging a Weapon Within City Limits
Authorities consider Breeding armed and dangerous. She remains at large, and the Elizabeth City Police Department is urging the public to immediately report any sightings or tips related to her location.
