TIPTONVILLE, TN — July 31, 2025 -In a chilling development that has sent shockwaves through Lake County and beyond, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has officially identified a suspect in a gruesome quadruple homicide case that has gripped the state in recent days. Authorities have issued warrants for 28-year-old Austin Robert Drummond, who now faces a slew of serious charges, including four counts of First Degree Murder, in connection with the tragic slayings of an entire family in rural Tennessee.

According to a TBI press release, Drummond is also charged with:

  • One count of Aggravated Kidnapping
  • Four counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm
  • One count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony

The Victims

The murders occurred in a wooded area of Lake County, Tennessee, and left four people dead, including a teenager and a young couple who had just started their family. The victims were heartbreakingly identified as:

  • Matthew Wilson, 21 — the infant’s father
  • Adrianna Williams, 20 — the infant’s mother
  • Cortney Rose, 38 — the baby’s maternal grandmother
  • Braydon Williams, 15 — the baby’s maternal uncle

These individuals were found murdered just a day after the discovery of a mysteriously abandoned infant — a baby boy who miraculously survived and was left in a car seat on someone’s front lawn.

The Case Unfolds

The chain of events began Tuesday when a concerned resident in Dyer County called 911 to report a baby had been left on their front lawn, still strapped into a car seat. The child was found safe and in good condition, but authorities quickly realized something was very wrong.

As investigators worked to identify the infant, they issued alerts for three missing adults: Matthew Wilson, Adrianna Williams, and Cortney Rose. Tragically, those missing persons turned into victims. The following day, all three — along with Braydon Williams — were found murdered in a remote wooded area about 20 miles north of where the child had been left.

The TBI and FBI immediately launched a full-scale joint investigation.

Vehicle of Interest Still Missing

Investigators have confirmed that two vehicles were towed from the scene yesterday as part of the ongoing forensic investigation. However, one critical vehicle remains missing: a red and white 1988 Ford F-150, believed to have been driven by Matthew Wilson.

Authorities are urging the public to keep an eye out for the vintage pickup truck, which may hold valuable evidence—or may even lead to Drummond’s location.

Still No Word on Motive

Despite the charges, authorities have not released any details about Drummond’s connection to the victims, nor have they discussed any known motive. The case remains fluid and deeply active, and investigators believe that information from the public may be pivotal to solving the final pieces of this tragic puzzle.

What You Can Do

If you have seen Austin Robert Drummond, know anything about his location, or spot the missing red and white Ford F-150, do not approach. Call law enforcement immediately. Sharing this information could save lives and bring justice to a devastated family.

This case is a brutal reminder of how quickly life can be shattered, and how important it is for communities to come together in pursuit of justice. An innocent child has lost nearly their entire family. Four lives were stolen in an act of unspeakable violence. Now, the focus turns to finding the man accused of carrying out this horror.

Austin Robert Drummond must be found.
