TULSA, OK — In a deeply disturbing case of family violence, 18-year-old Christian Miller is in police custody after allegedly shooting his mother, Lisa Miller, multiple times during a domestic altercation late Friday night. The incident took place at the 89 East Apartments near 71st Street and Mingo Road, a location where officers say they’ve responded in the past for domestic disturbances.
Tulsa Police received the initial 911 call just after 10:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1st, reporting a heated family argument. As officers made their way to the scene, the situation quickly escalated. Additional calls poured into 911 indicating that the domestic dispute had turned into a shooting.

Lisa Miller had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to her abdomen and waist. Emergency medical personnel from Tulsa Fire Department and EMSA arrived moments later and transported her to a nearby Tulsa hospital, where her condition remains unknown at this time.
The weapon used in the attack is believed to be an AR-style handgun, a high-capacity firearm outfitted with a conversion device, making it fully automatic. The gun also had an extended magazine, which has been seized and will be processed by the department’s Crime Lab.
Tulsa Police Detectives responded to begin a full investigation into the incident. Authorities noted that officers had previously been called to the apartment multiple times for domestic-related issues, painting a picture of a troubled family dynamic.
Christian Miller has been booked and is now facing the following charge:

Law enforcement officials emphasized that this was an isolated incident, and no other residents at the 89 East Apartments were in any danger. The swift arrest of the suspect prevented the situation from escalating further.
